DESCRIPTION
The Krohn-Hite Model 7500 is the first direct-coupled, wideband amplifier that offers extended output power and voltage capabilities, low distortion, an advanced, all solid state design, and performance features not previously available.
The Model 7500 provides more than 75 watts of continuous power (150 watts at dc), and 125V rms from dc to 100kHz. Frequency response of the 7500 is typically flat to within 0.05dB over most of its range. In addition, the 7500 typically contributes <0.05% of total harmonic distortion, at full power output, up to 10kHz. The voltage gain of the 7500 is non-inverting, and can be selected for either 20dB (10) or 40dB (100) of fixed gain, or continuously adjustable from 0dB to 40dB. The 7500 also provides either direct (dc) or capacitive (ac) input coupling.

Impedance Matching Transformer
Model MT56R

30Hz to 500kHz

A prime feature of the high-precision resistance decades is the design, fulfilling a host of functions. Meeting a whole range of requirements in practice they are used as:

  • Frequency Range: 30Hz to 500kHz
  • Output Power: 75 Watts
  • Maximum Current: 6.5A
  • Input Voltage: 125V rms
  • Matched Loads from 2 ohms to 1k ohms

DESCRIPTION
The Krohn-Hite Model MT56R Matching Transformer is specifically designed as an accessory to broaden the amplification range of Krohn-Hite amplifiers, by providing increased output current capability and a greater range of output impedance. The Model MT56R may be used with the Model 7500 amplifiers.
The Model MT56R provides primary-to-secondary turns ratio of 10, 5, 2.5 and 1.25 to 1, selected by the 4-position LOAD IMPEDANCE switch. When using the Model 7500 Amplifier, which has a 200 ohm output impedance, these correspond to matched loads of 2, 8, 32 and 128 ohms respectively. The operating frequency range is either 30Hz to 10kHz, or 10kHz to 500kHz, selected by the FREQUENCY RANGE switch.
Input and output connections are made to multi-purpose binding posts on the front panel and on the rear of the chassis, with separate chassis/grounding terminals on the front panel to provide for either floating or chassis/ground operation.

The voltage gain can be either inverting or non-inverting and has selectable ranges from 0dB-14dB, 0dB-28dB and 0dB-42dB, and is continuously variable between ranges.
Other features include: modes of A, A-B and -B, common mode rejection of 80dB, input coupling of ac or dc, dc offset control that is variable from 0V to ±200V; an optional meter package that provides a meter for displaying the heat sink temperature in °C, output peak voltage and average output current.

MODEL 7602
The Model 7602 provides the same performance as the Model 7600 with a differential output and is able to deliver 34 watts of continuous power (68 watts at dc) and 282V rms (800Vp-p). It can also provide plus and minus dc voltages simultaneously.
