Battery operated Milli-Ohmmeter RESISTOMAT®
Model 2320
|
Brochure Burster 2320

- Mains rechargeable battery operation
- 6 ranges from 600 µOhm to 60 Ohm
- High resolution up to 0.1 µOhm
- Measuring current up to 10 A
- Input protected up to 415 V rms
- Rugged industrial design
- RS232 data output
Description
Four-wire technology in accordance with KELVIN eliminates
transition and lead resistance.
Any of the 8 measuring ranges can be selected by a key on the membrane
keyboard. The measuring results are displayed on a 6000 counts LED display.
The measuring terminals are protected up to 415 volts rms. By forward
and reserve current measurement with automatic average a thermocouple
compensation can be realized.
The digital calibration of this instrument is activated by a key on the
front panel. The integrated rechargeable battery allows measurements up
to 10 hours without mains.

RESISTOMAT® for Fast Resistance Measurement in Automated Processes
|
 |
- Measurement range from 200 mOhm to 200 kOhm
- Resolution of 10 µOhm
- Measurement accuracy 0.03 % rdg.
- Automatic measurement range selection
- Up to 50 measurements and evaluations per second
- Temperature compensation for all materials
- Thermovoltage compensation
- Dry-circuit measurement in accordance with DIN-IEC 512
- Data logger for 20000 measurement values
- RS232 and PLC interface standard (IEEE488 option
Description
The device operates on the basis of proven 4-wire technology
which corrects any incoming line or contact resistances. The measurement
lines are checked by an integrated cable rupture monitor.
Needless to say, the functions include temperature compensation for various
test substances such as copper, brass, tungsten etc. Temperatures are
measured by a Pt 100 sensor or infrared sensor (pyrometer) with analog
outputs or any temperature transmitter e.g. thermocouple.
For measuring test objects with low inductances, a special measurement
input protection was developed to prevent voltage peaks from damaging
the device when test objects are disconnected.

Four-wire system
Contact profiles for a multitude of applications
Widest possible test sample diameter range
Description
All of the Kelvin test tongs and Kelvin test probes described
operate on a four-wire system. The contact on each of the two clip faces
is insulated against the opposing contact. One contact is for current
supply, the other one is the potential tap. The system used means that
any conduction resistivity in either the branch circuit or the voltage
tap has no influence on the measured result.
Type 2386 test tongs are constructed of solid plates. This unbreakable
material is suitable for heavy duty applications such as for testing bays
in the cable industry. Kelvin test probes are constructed with a turned
stainless steel and handles. The outer contacting and inner potential
tap points are insulated against each other. The inner potential tap points
are spring mounted.

During the manufacture of wires,
rails, cables and sector conductors, the electrical conductivity
respectively the resistance must be checked for compliance with specified
values. In conjunction with a digital ohmmeter of the RESISTOMAT ®
series, the clamping devices are used in the cable industry for production
monitoring and quality assurance.
As most of the materials used have a very high temperature coefficient,
e.g. Copper 3,93 /K brass 1,5 /K, a precise recording of the test unit“s
temperature during measurement is of particular importance.
Needless to say, the clamping devices described are equipped with
4-conductor technology, thus eliminating lead and contact resistances.
